Jolly phonics

These are the sounds we have learned in school:

s, a, t, i, p, n, c, k, e, h, r, m, d, g, o, u, l, f, b, j, ai, oa, ie, ee, or

You can learn more about jolly phonics on this website: http://jollylearning.co.uk/overview-about-jolly-phonics/

We can now start reading words that have these sounds in them, such as cat, tap, sit, pin, pet.
This is very difficult so we will need lots of help at first. We will bring home word copies with these words in them. It is important that we practise every night!

We love to sing the Jolly Phonics songs. They help us to learn our sounds.

Fun at Christmas

Christmas time

Because of some technical problems I am just putting these pictures up now. Apologies for the delay.

Santa came to visit us in our classroom. He asked us what we wanted for Christmas and we told him all the ways we were being very good.

We went to a Christmas pantomime. Stinky McRinky was trying to steal all of the Christmas presents. We had to help Santa find him and save the presents. We sang and danced and had loads of fun.
